Graduation Information
The University Store is a service center for various Commencement needs.
REQUIRED SERVICES
Graduation regalia are required for those who wish to participate in a future on-campus ceremony. Eligible graduates may order a cap & gown through the Marching Order link emailed to them from Commencement Services commencement@frostburg.edu at the beginning/middle of each semester. All expected graduates (whether bachelor, master, or doctoral) must order a cap & gown souvenir package using the link provided from Commencement Services. At this time, there is no charge for the souvenir attire; however, those choosing to have the order shipped are responsible for the shopping fee. Doctoral students may also purchase or rent FSU custom fine quality regalia. The link for those additional options will be emailed to eligible doctoral graduates also at the beginning/middle of the each semester. Pick-up/delivery options and dates of all graduation attire orders are posted on the ordering site links each semester.
Note to Doctoral Candidates
According to the new Doctoral guidelines for participation in the graduation ceremony, you will be required to complete the oral defense of your dissertation to receive clearance to participate in a ceremony. If you plan to do this prior to the required date (please check with your department), you should place an order following the instructions above. Doctoral attire is a requirement if you plan to participate in any future in-person ceremony. If for some reason you are not cleared to walk prior to the ceremony, you will be responsible for any rental fees in subsequent semesters. Please contact the Office of Graduate Services if you have questions about the approval process to participate in the ceremony.
OPTIONAL SERVICES
Sashes
Custom Sport Logo or Class of Current Year Sashes can be pre-ordered directly from this Pride Sash link. To receive by each ceremony date, December graduates should order by the second week of November and May graduates should order by the second week of April.
Seal design sashes are regular store stock and may be ordered anytime inventory is available in-store or online through the Grad Accessories catalog.
Announcements and Thank You Notes
Various Personalized Announcements may be ordered online at www.balfour.com. Thank you notes, Envelopes, Gold foil seals, and return address labels are available at different price points. Packages will be prepared with your name, degree, and commencement time and will be delivered to the shipping address provided. Non-personalized announcements are available to purchase in the University Store. Please remember to allow personalized announcements approximately 2-3 weeks to arrive from Balfour. Therefore, orders should be placed by the end of March to allow plenty of time to receive them.
Diploma Frames
Order from a beautiful selection of diploma frames, complete with matting online at https://fsustore.universityframes.com. They come in several styles and prices. Select frames are also available in the University Store to purchase.
Class Rings
Check out Balfour class rings in many different styles and in several types of metal, some with semi-precious stones. Orders can be placed by calling Balfour at 877-225-3687.
